CG Esperanza

C.G. Esperanza is an Afro-Latino artist from the South Bronx, New York City. His books include BOOGIE, BOOGIE Y’ALL, KICKS IN THE SKY and Soul Food Sunday. He received a 2025 Caldecott Honor and Coretta Scott King illustrator recognition for My Daddy Is a Cowboy, written by Stephanie Seales. He also works as a teaching artist and exhibit designer at the Bronx Children’s Museum.
